Call IQ

Call IQ is a revolutionary data mining applicationm designed to reduce criminal activity from making its way into correctional facilities. This investigation tool works with the recorded phone calls from the inmate phone system and allows criminal investigators and correctional staff to listen to only calls containing potential criminal activity. The way the Call IQ system works is that it automatically transcribes the inmate phone calls from voice to text and alerts the investigator of potential crime.

Call IQ is NOT word search

It is so much more! Although, you can search for a word, Call IQ allows the investigator to enter a word or phrase and retrieve phone calls containing that word and other related terms. For example, if the investigator wanted to find out who smuggled in cocaine into a particular cell block, he could search for the term cocaine and retrieve any phone calls that mentioned the word cocaine, blow, powder, snow, etc. Call IQ will also retrieve other phone calls that may also be of interest. For example, if the facility that is having issues with cocaine in its cell blocks is also having problems with gang recruitment, Call IQ will direct the investigator to calls that use gang and drug terminology in the same inmate phone call.

Call IQ is designed for corrections

A big problem with conventional voice to text software and other inmate phone vendor word search programs is that they rely on language models generated by student volunteers or broadcast news content. Any corrections professional will tell you that the average inmate’s speech patterns are entirely different from those of students or news anchors. As a result using standard language models on inmate phone calls results in suboptimal performance. While no speech to text system is 100% accurate, Call IQ features the most accurate speech recognition in the industry. Our language models are trained using actual inmate telephone calls, not standard, out of the box language models. Moreover, we use different language models for different language groups and geographic regions. With each facility that comes on line with Call IQ, we update our language models with manually transcribed calls from those facilities. Similar to antivirus software, the Call IQ language models are periodically updated for all Call IQ customers to reflect the latest round of language modeling. The advantage of doing so is that ALL customers benefit as each new facility comes on line: the more Call IQ installations there are, the more accurate the language models become.

Call IQ also comes with a slang dictionary containing over 2,500 terms and phrases that is continuously updated.
