Annual
User Group brings Digital Solutions / Inmate Telephone, Inc, Customers
and Partners Together Again.
Corrections industry professionals
from all over the United States meet in Altoona, PA to shape the future
of corrections technology.
Altoona, Pennsylvania
– September 8, 2009 - Corrections professionals
from all over the United States will gather in Altoona, PA in September
to shape the future of corrections technology. The Digital Solutions
/ Inmate Telephone, Inc. (DSI / ITI) annual User Group provides DSI
/ ITI customers with the chance to propose and vote on changes to industry-leading
Jail Management System (JMS), the Offender
Management System (OMS).
“The corrections professional who uses our products
every day knows them inside and out- in many cases almost as well as
the designer of the product. We have found that by giving these
users free reign to propose changes that will improve how the product
works in the “real world” that we can offer the best product
imaginable to do the job it needs to do,” said Thomas Brence,
Director of Marketing for DSI / ITI. “It is really a win-win.
Our customers get a constantly evolving product based on direct user
input and we have a product that really works in the marketplace.”
In addition to offering suggestions for the OMS,
individuals at User Group get to interact with third-party solutions
such as medical records management program suites, video visitation
products, digital imaging solutions and other products and services
that are specifically suited for the corrections industry. “Prisons
and jails have their own unique set of circumstances and no two are
alike. We bring in partners who offer solutions that can help
solve problems for our users,” said Brence.
It’s not all work and no play though. For
those who come early to the conference, there is a charity golf outing
to support the Miracle League of Blair County, an organization that
provides an opportunity to play baseball for special needs children.
